Pièces Uniques AW23-24 "Nation du ciel"

 

PIÈCES UNIQUES introduces its new AUTUMN-WINTER 2023/2024 collection «NATION DU CIEL» (CMYB). This collection retranscribe the archetypes of characters from an imaginary city in the sky. Each character is inspired by the primary colours of paint: cyan, magenta, yellow and black  (CMYK).

 «NATION DU CIEL» is an ode to Edmond Luu’s childhood memories, a tribute to Jules Vernes’ books, Castle in the Sky by Hayao Miyazaki & the Skypiea city in One piece by EIICHIRO ODA.

Each character represents a key moment in our hero’s odyssey. Projected on this celestial island, he discovers the inhabitants of this new world and composes his crew: a scientist, a zoologist, a mechanic etc...

To illustrate this new chapter, Edmond has once again teamed up with stylist Edem Dossou, known for his narrative interpretation of fashion, his work was crucial in the layering of the various new materials added to the Pièces Uniques wardrobe. Between embroidered tulle, macramé and monogram embossed leather, Edem was able to translate the characters that Edmond had in mind.

Edmond wants people to feel that his clothes would allow them to overcome their daily trials, he wants them to feel strong and feel like the main character of their own story. ‘Nation du Ciel” is the collection of his dreams, the materialisation of his childhood heroes.
